August 2021 - Dewey's 24 Hour Reverse Readathon
This is still the best logo I have ever made.
Hey, hey, it's readathon day! It's been a minute since I got to co-host and y'all. I am so excited. Let's read, shall we?
1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today?
North Carolina, where it promises to be mild and rainy. SO HAPPY.
2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?
OMG I have no idea. I'm really looking forward to more short stories by Charlie Jane Anders collection Even Greater Mistakes and I hope to read some more of Gideon the Ninth. Also want to start Damnation Springs and listen to some more of All's Well by Mona Awad. So many books, so little time, yeah?
3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?
Brownies!
4) Tell us a little something about yourself!
I have 2 chickens, 3 parakeets, 4 cats, and 2 dogs. Oh and 3 kids (2 teens and a husband). My house will not be quiet today!
5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to?
I get to cohost again!! See you at 8pm EST on Twitter!
I had a great time during the Readathon this past weekend! I didn't realize how much I've missed helping get it ready and hosting. It's such a fun time of books, memes, and photos of food and books and pets! I can't wait for October.
I managed to finish one graphic novel, a couple short stories, and half of another book, all while hosting at the beginning and the end on Twitter! Pretty dang proud of myself. I went on to finish that half of a book on Sunday, so I call it all a success. I read:
2 stories in Even Greater Mistakes by Charlie Jane Anders
Aquicorn Cove by Katie O'Neill
Survive the Night by Riley Sager (finished on Sunday)
I have no idea how many hours I read, but I know it was a lot. If you participated, I hope you had fun too!
